Duramax Plastic Shed 10x8 Review
Well, hello there, lovely people! You’re here because you want to know more about Duramax Plastic Shed 10×8, right?
I helped my mate put this shed together a couple of months ago and in this Duramax Woodside Shed 10×8 review I’ll share with you all there is to learn from my experience with it.
QUICK VERDICT: Amazing look, great size and unbeatable price. Be ready to spend a day assembling.
Duramax Plastic Shed 10x8 Pros
As with everything, there are pros and cons. Let’s focus on a good aspects of this Duramax 10×8 plastic shed.
Storage
Alright, let’s talk about storage, shall we?
As someone who’s always had a bit of a clutter problem, the Duramax Woodside Shed 10×8 can be a real lifesaver.
I mean, sure, you could just continue to pile up your tools in the garage until its a chaotic mess, but where’s the fun in that?
This shed has a lot of storage space for all your gardening gear, lawnmowers, and even a few bikes.
The 10 x 8 size is perfect for most folk and will keep everything neatly organised and easy to find.
The double doors make it simple to get larger items in and out, and the ventilation panels keep everything fresh and dry.
I particularly like the fact that the shed is made of plastic, which makes it extremely easy to clean. I mean, who wants to spend hours scrubbing their shed when they could be out enjoying their garden instead?
Not me, not my mate, not you. That’s for sure.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the storage capabilities of this shed.
It’s a real lifesaver for anyone who, like me, struggles with clutter and organisation (my mate isn’t that bad with his stuff – he’s a rare species). Plus, it’s pretty satisfying to have everything neatly tucked away and out of sight.
Durability
Let me tell you, this Duramax Plastic Shed is not messing around when it comes to durability.
I mean, I have to give credit where credit is due. I’ve owned 3 sheds myself and helped with at least a dozen (my pals call me the shed-er – that’s from Ninja Turtles by the way) and this piece of the plastic shed really looks solid.
The shed is made of a thick plastic material, which at first looked a bit flimsy and weak. But boy, was I wrong!
This thing is tough as nails, and it can handle whatever Mother Nature throws at it. Plus, the roof is made of metal, adding extra protection from harsh weather conditions.
I also like that the plastic is UV resistant, meaning it won’t fade or crack over time due to exposure to the sun.
Overall, I can confidently say that the Duramax Plastic Shed is built to last. It’s durable and sturdy but you have to make sure you assemble it correctly (about this a bit later). So, if you’re looking for a shed that will stand the test of time, this one is definitely worth considering.
Security
As someone who’s had their fair share of tool theft, security was a top priority for me when choosing a shed.
And I’m happy to say that the Duramax plastic shed doesn’t disappoint in that department. Its sturdy structure and reinforced walls make it a tough obstacle for any would-be thieves.
Plus, it has a locking mechanism that keeps your belongings safe and sound. I’ve also heard from other Duramax shed owners that they’ve had positive experiences with the shed’s resistance to weather and pests.
Of course, no shed is completely bulletproof to determined thieves, so I would still recommend taking extra precautions such as installing an alarm system or motion-activated lights.
But overall, the Duramax shed is a solid choice when it comes to security. And the added peace of mind is priceless!
Duramax Plastic Shed 10x8 Cons
After all the sweet talk it’s time to uncover the dark side of this shed. Its a small one, totally manageable but I have to mention it (don’t want you to not consider this).
Assemble
Ok, so this part is probably the biggest downfall of this shed.
First of all, let’s get it out of the way: assembling isn’t an easy job here.
You’ll need someone to help you (ideally 2 extra people), which will take you the whole day.
You have to remember this is a big shed with loads of elements and it takes time. Don’t expect a quick job because this isn’t it.
Once you keep that in mind, get help and take your time you’ll be fine.
The shed came with pre-drilled holes, so you’ll only need a few basic tools and you’ll be good. The pieces fit together perfectly, and we didn’t encounter any problems or hiccups during assembly.
Overall, it’s a time consuming task (as with every bigger project, right?) so make sure you take your time and get extra help, especially with larger panels.
- The Duramax plastic shed offers ample storage space for outdoor equipment and tools
- It is highly durable and can withstand harsh weather conditions
- The shed comes with a sturdy foundation kit, ensuring stability and longevity
- The double doors and ventilation panels provide easy access and proper air circulation inside the shed
- Assembling can be a tedious and strenuous job, so make sure you get an extra set of hands to help
- If you are looking for a more traditional look, the plastic material of this shed may not be your ideal choice
- You'll need to buy extra shelves as it doesn't come with any storage solutions
My own experience with Duramax Plastic Shed 10x8
Alright, let me tell you about my own overall experience with the Duramax Plastic Shed 10 x 8.
To be honest, I was a bit sceptical at first – I mean, it’s made of plastic. How durable could it really be? But let me tell you, I was really surprised.
The assembly was a long task, but that’s fine. I’d rather do things longer than have questionable quality shed storing my stuff.
And once the shed was up, I was amazed by how sturdy it felt.
The walls don’t even flex when you lean on them (not that I tried or anything…).
Overall, I’m really happy with the shed. It’s been a few months now since I helped my mate and the shed still looks as good as new. I highly recommend the Duramax Plastic Shed 10 x 8 to anyone needing extra storage space.

Alternatives
The shed features a galvanized steel frame and subframe, with wall panels made of twice baked enamel steel sheets. It has 2 hinged doors with a sliding latch and holes for a padlock (not supplied), along with an entry ramp across the bottom of the door.
The UK's most adaptable shed, the Power Pent, can be configured how you want by allowing you to place the doors and windows in any position on any side, which you can do as you assemble it. We have redefined the garden shed.
If you’re looking for alternatives, I’ve listed a couple above. Those sheds are similar in size, a bit different in look but also really good (tested both, you can read my reviews here).
Should You Get Duramax Plastic Shed 10x8
Overall, the Duramax Plastic Shed 10 x 8 is an amazing investment at a great price. While the assembly process can be challenging and time-consuming, the end result is great.
On the other hand, if you lack confidence, I recommend getting a professional to do it for you (my local guys charge £220 for the whole thing, so that’s really not too bad).
Great looking shed at a great price. I’d strongly recommend getting it.
Thanks for reading.
Hope that was helpful.

It does not come with flooring.
You will need an area for placing panels away from the shed area with all the different fixing screws etc sorted into groups and with a step ladder.
The door from the foundation kit is 71 3/4″ or 1820mm
The door doesn’t have its own lock but you can lock it using a padlock.
Hey, I’m Dale, I live in Scottish Highlands with my family where we looks after our farm and do some DIY projects together with my two sons.
I love to share my knowledge about putting up sheds (I owned 3 already and helped all my pals with theirs). Hope you find my writing helpful.
