Keter Factor Shed 8x6 Review
Hey and welcome to my review of Keter Factor Shed 8×6.
I so far owned 3 sheds and many of my friends are asking me for help in choosing the right one (sadly..) as well as help with the assembly.
I recently helped my neighbour in assembling the shed so I’ll also share our personal experience with the product and offer some alternatives that may be more suitable for certain situations.
I read some of the Keter Factor Shed reviews online but I think mine will give you most in-depth insight.
Let’s start with the pros and cons!
Pros
As with any kind of thing you buy, there are both pros and cons to consider before making the decision, especially when it’s a big one ( I mean literally). 8×6 sheds are pretty pretty big you know.
Storage
Starting with the pros, the Keter Factor Shed 8×6 offers plenty of storage space.
The 8×6 size is perfect for storing larger things like lawnmowers, bikes or your tools. The shed also comes with two built-in shelves for additional storage (so that’s a plus).
The shelves are pretty sturdy and will hold lightweight items but might not be suitable for heavier items.
Another benefit of the Keter Factor Shed 8×6 is its durability (I’m in Scotland, it has to be sturdy haha).
The shed is made of UV-protected resin and is designed to withstand harsh weather conditions .
What does that mean? It means it won’t rust, peel, or rot over time so you don’t have to worry about that.
And its of course watertight. I’m not sure who would produce a shed that isn’t but thought I’d mention that too.
Assemble
Another thing that really surprised me was how easy it was to assemble. The shed comes with clear instructions and all the necessary hardware, so its pretty hassle free.
You can assemble it on your own (we did it together with my neighbour) and it took us around 5 hours incl a few short breaks.
Cons
While the Keter Factor Shed 8×6 has many benefits, there are a few cons (just like with anything really).
While the shed is constructed with strength and durability in mind, folks living in areas that experience heavy snowfall may need to look elsewhere for a storage solution. The rooftop material won’t be able to bear the burden of hefty winter accumulations! Where I live, the snow doesn’t get too heavy on us but keep that in mind.
Another potential con is the lack of customisation options. The shed only comes with two shelves, which is fine. My neighbour decided to add a few more and that wasn’t a problem. I just think it could have a couple of shelves more but hey.
Finally, while the shed is lockable, the locks themselves are not that great. The locks are flimsy and may not give you enough security so just get yourself a separate padlock (fiver on amazon right?).
- Plenty of Storage Space: The Keter Factor Shed 8x6 provides ample storage space for larger items such as lawnmowers, bikes, and tools. It also comes with two built-in shelves for additional storage.
- Durability: Made of UV-protected resin, the shed is designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, which means it won't rust, peel, or rot over time.
- Easy to Assemble: The shed comes with clear instructions and all the necessary hardware for assembly, making it a hassle-free process. It can be assembled by one person and takes about 5 hours, including a few short breaks.
- Price: Very affordable comparing to other 8x6 sheds
- Heavy Snowfall: The rooftop material may not be able to bear the burden of heavy snow accumulation, making it unsuitable for areas that experience heavy snowfall.
- Flimsy Locks: The locks on the shed are not very secure and may need to be supplemented with a separate padlock for added security
My own experience with Keter Factor Shed 8x6
As I mentioned before, my neighbour purchased (after my due diligence) the Keter Factor Shed 8×6, and overall, we both had a positive experience with it.
Assembling only took a few hours including breaks (you can also pay Amazon £100 to get it assembled for you – not too bad if you ask me)and installing a couple of extra shelves. One thing to remember, especially if you’re not that DIY save, is to read instructions. I know, I know, who needs a manual right?
Well, do it. Some things are not what they seem when you open the box and its easier to read the instruction rather than re-do the whole wall.
Once assembled, the shed looked great in the garden. I mean really great. I was really impressed with the look. Sometimes when you see images online you think that only look so good because it’s online but this shed actually does.
The thing to remember is that the shed requires a very flat surface to be built on. However, we were able to level the ground pretty easily, and it has been sturdy and stable ever since ( I write this review about 4 months after we put it together.)
Overall, the Keter Factor Shed has been a great addition to my neighbour’s garden.
Looking and performing really well.
While there were a few minor issues during the assembly process (read the instruction people!) and with the limited number of shelves, these were easily overcome, and the end result is a high-quality shed that I would highly recommend to others.

The shed features a galvanized steel frame and subframe, with wall panels made of twice baked enamel steel sheets. It has 2 hinged doors with a sliding latch and holes for a padlock (not supplied), along with an entry ramp across the bottom of the door.
The UK's most adaptable shed, the Power Pent, can be configured how you want by allowing you to place the doors and windows in any position on any side, which you can do as you assemble it. We have redefined the garden shed.

Overall, my experience with the Keter Factor Shed 8×6 has been very positive, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a storage solution with plenty of room and style.
Keter Factor Shed 8×6 does the trick and looks really good.
For that price and the fact that amazon would deliver it for you to your door (and of course you can return it )you can’t go wrong with the Keter Shed.
Keter Factor Shed 8×6 worth investing in. That’s for sure.
Thanks for reading.

A concrete base would be ideal, however, the ground you put it on just needs to be level and firm. We have two of these sheds one is on a wooden base foundation for sheds and the other we used plastic ground tiles on our grass. You could also use paving slabs
The shed comes in two cartons. both are approx 6ft by 3 ft and 7 inches deep. Quite weighty although no individual part is too heavy on its own. I hope this is helpful.
The double door is on the 8 ft side.
Yes it can and you have the sky light strip as well in the roof.
Hey, I’m Dale, I live in Scottish Highlands with my family where we looks after our farm and do some DIY projects together with my two sons.
I love to share my knowledge about putting up sheds (I owned 3 already and helped all my pals with theirs). Hope you find my writing helpful.
